During the weekend the city of Santa Fe offers various proposals for recreation in public outdoor places. The coastlines — East and West — are one of the best options to spend time with family or friends and there for a walk, do sports activities or just sit around and contemplate the Lagoon and the Pendant Bridge.
In addition, the public parks circuit —Juan de Garay, Belgrano (or Parque Sur), the Federal Park and the Botanical Garden — are some public spaces that also provide entertainment possibilities and where you can enjoy the benefits of the climate. These parks have areas for the little ones making them an excellent plan for the weekend.
Another great outdoor entertainment center is the Port Complex of the city of Santa Fe . There are a shopping mall , the largest cinema complex in the city and the Casino and also the boarding terminals for water walks around the island area.
On Saturdays the city can enjoy the Festival del Norte in the Botanical Garden (Gorriti 3900). This proposal, organized by the City Government , has different activities for the whole family . Thus, in a festive and family climate, shows will coexist for the youngest children, expressions of urban arts, interventions, a food court run by local entrepreneurs and music to dance in the open air .
Meanwhile, the Federal Park is another major attraction. This large green space has a playground for the youngest, space for sports activities and there is also the La Redonda Art and Daily Life Cultural Center . This space offers free recreational activities for the youngest and on weekends opens its doors from 14 to 19. In addition, traditional South and Garay parks provide opportunities to relax and enjoy outdoor activities.
The city of Santa Fe has excellent nautical services from the local port . Both for those who like to enjoy the ride on a modern boat or those looking to be more in contact with nature in a smaller one. So from Dam 1 of the Port the Costa Litoral Catamaran sail on Saturdays at 16.30 and Sundays at 11 and 16.30 for a two-hour tour of the area of islands surrounding the city.
On the other hand, those who wish more contact with nature and learn about the coastal life of its own inhabitants can take the walk offered by La Ribereña . This boat leaves from the Embark Terminal 2 of the local Port and is helmed by young people from the Alto Verde coastal neighborhood who are part of the Extension Program of the National University of the Litoral Guardians of the River . This service offers two tours: the One hour's Paseo de los Cuatro Puentes and the Yacaré Circuit also of one hour long. It has regular departures every Saturday, Sunday and holidays at 15 and 16.
