Health tourism: Puntana hot springs

San Luis has found a new tourist resource to encourage visits: health tourism, using its thermal waters as the main attraction.

San Luis

San Luis is known for its constant investment and generation of tourism and cultural resources . The puntanos know the properties of the hot springs and have found a way there to attract visitors. It is called health tourism.

The towns of Balde and San Jerónimo promise visitors to combat their stress and at the same time improve their health. Balde is located more than 30 kilometers from the capital Puntana. The waters that arise in this locality are known as “sterile hot springs”. They do not have any pollution or intervention whatsoever. Its origin is 600 meters underground and, because of their condition, they are drinkable waters.

A municipal complex has been built there. Within him we we found two hotels, cabins and campsites so that people can choose where to stay. They call it health tourism because of the properties that have the hot springs over people. Combines spaces for relaxation, health and culture. The water temperature is 43° centigrade throughout the year.

Saint Jerome

The hot springs here arise from a depth of 451 meters, slightly less than Balde. The thermal center is positioned 26 kilometers from the capital. It is a place very recognized for the actions therapeutic, tonic and restorative waters, which makes it an attraction for those seeking health tourism.

In the place we will find an inn, cabins and spas. Outdoor and also heated indoor pools. This guarantees a complete experience for tourists.

The high season of health tourism in this province is in the temperate or cold months, as the water temperature becomes ideal in that context.
