The Train to the Clouds restarts its service in the puna of Salta

The Tren a las Nubes, an iconic tourist product of Salta, restarts its route, mostly by bus between the provincial capital and the famous La Polvorilla viaduct, with a weekly service accessed by reservation.

The tour, which began on the same day as the launch of the summer season in Salta, will feature promotions and all the necessary protocols for the safety of passengers will apply, says a statement, announcing that it is expected that in the coming months the three departures will be reached usual weekly.

The Tren a las Nubes is a package that combines about 150 kilometers of bus travel from the city of Salta to San Antonio de los Cobres, 3,700 meters above sea level (masl), with another 20 by train from this town to the aforementioned viaduct, 4,220 meters above sea level and 60 meters high on the original Route 40.

Services offered to tourists include picnic breakfast and afternoon snack, specialized bilingual tour guides, medical assistance and postal service on board, snack bar, souvenir sector, Wi-Fi in El Alfarcito, San Antonio de los Cobres station and La viaduct Dustorilla.

The Minister of Tourism and Sports Salteño, Mario Peña, stressed to Telam that “the first three trips are 100% occupancy and is a very good indicator of the position of the province”.

The president of the Tren a las Nubes, Sebastián Vidal Casas, said that they are “very excited about this return, we received a great response from the people who in a few days exhausted the reservations of the first departures of the train”.

“We are very satisfied with this and we will continue to work so that many more Salteños and tourists can enjoy this great experience and all the surprises we have repaired with all the necessary security,” he added.

The Tren a las Nubes offers the promotion of the Previaje 2021 program, with a refund of 50% of the value paid in credit to be used in other tourist services, and with the purchase of the ticket you can choose any departure until June 30, 2021, with a change of date free of charge and cancellation free of charge.
