La Caldera: beauty, tradition and an unforgettable festival

February is an ideal time to visit this beautiful town in Salta.

The province of Salta hides thousands of places that offer different experiences to travelers. La Caldera is one of the best preserved villages in Salta, as it keeps its culture and tradition virtually intact. Getting there is an experience in itself, as it is necessary to travel 25 kilometers from the capital of Salta, along the national route 9, and cross a jungle cornice road, with beautiful landscapes of hills and rivers.
In La Caldera, also takes place one of the most important festivals in the province: the Chicha National Festival, whose twenty-ninth edition will be held between Friday 15 and Sunday 17 February. It will feature artists such as Chaqueño Palavecino and Franco Barrionuevo, among others, as well as traditional activities in the area.
