The province of  Salta  is the only one in our country to own more than 650 species of birds, accounting for 65% of those registered in Argentina. For this reason Birdwatching lovers from all regions arrive in Salta to enjoy this heterogeneity.

The  Huaico Nature Reserve  protects a remnant of mountain forest in excellent state of conservation, very close to Villa San Lorenzo, just 20 km from Salta city airport.

It is a private reserve that belongs to the Yuchan Foundation, an NGO that works in the conservation of Yungas, Chaco and the North Argentine Andes. The place is framed in an area of 51 hectares of cloud forest, where scientific research, environmental education and ecotourism is also carried out. A place to recreate among a jungle vegetation that embraces the visitor. In each of its paths you can enjoy the sounds of waterfalls, the running of rivers and of course the birdlife of the place.
