The Baggins of the Good Vibration (Part 1)
The community of El Bolsón is located near Bariloche. A hundred and twenty kilometers separate them and National Route 258 connects them. On the banks of the Quemquemtreu River, the city is characterized by its landscape of fruit trees and a varied menu of activities to do.
Knowing his heart, the center of El Bolsón
Small but lively, the center is a classic of this city. In its Pagano square, inhabitants and tourists find themselves to enjoy the various attractions. Children’s games, a lake overlooking the Piltriquitrón Hill and rest spaces, invite visitors to sit down and kill spend a while.
On Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, Sundays and holidays the Regional Craft Fair El Bolsónis mounted in the square. This is considered one of the best in South America and a must for those who plan to visit Rio Black. It has more than 100 craftsmen who exhibit their work in wool, leather, flowers, silver and derivatives. There are also those who make hand-forged knives, candles, perfumes, homemade sweets with local resources and craft beers.
In the vicinity of the square, there are also restaurants, shops of gifts and several beer bars. Also in front of Paganos, is the Church of Our Lady of Lujan (picturesque and Florida) andoffice of tourist information.
The hill “Piltri”
The peace of the place emits a special energy that helps the good mood of its visitors. From the city, 11 km away from the center, you reach the platform of the hill by gravel, taking the Route National 258.
There, at 1200 meters above the sea, it is possible to take two hikingtrails. One of them is heading to the Carved Forest. Great works of art engraved in wood, and made by local artists, are possible to photograph during the walk. Another leads to a special point on the hill where paragliding is possible.
During the tour, adventurers will be able to observe the vegetation of the Patagonian landscape. Cypresses and colihues accompany the trails of the hill. Stops at different panoramic points are possible for the “selfies” with snowy peaks of some hills and the city of Lago Puelo in the distance.
