Bariloche, summer is lived in the south

The Patagonian city opened its season on December 4 and offers beach, mountains, adventure and fun.

Patagonia offers a different way to live summer and have all the landscapes in one place. Those who do not conceive this season without a beach, can swim in the lakes or sunbathe while listening to music in the paradores of Bahia Serena, Playa Bonita and Kilometro 4 beach, which are the main meeting points for young people and families resident and tourists. There you can rent kayak, stand up paddle and diving equipment, among other water sports. There are also trekking trails, bicycles and gastronomic spaces. Those who do not want to move so much along Bustillo Avenue can enjoy the public beaches of the center, which have lifeguards.

 Water lovers

The fact that Bariloche is on the banks of Nahuel Huapi and surrounded by other lakes, makes it ideal for lake excursions. The most traditional journey that those who visit for the first time Bariloche do not stop doing is the trip to Victoria Island and the Arrayanes Forest, sailing from Puerto Pañuelos and touring the lake to Puerto Blest and Cascada de los Cantaros; you can also make the Andean crossing and uniting Argentina and Chile sailing.

Those who want to know something new can opt for another not-so-popular walk and worth doing is to navigate the Arm Tristeza, walk through the coihue forest until you reach the waterfall of Arroyo Frey -deep glacial fjord southeast of the lake-. The landscapes are spectacular and, being a little visited trip, you can enjoy nature almost exclusively. The tour includes lunch on the boat.

 On the heights

Those who choose the Patagonian city for its mountain landscapes and prefer adventure and activities that do not involve the beach or water, have many options as well. One of them is to know the hills and its glaciers such as El Tronador, Catedral, Cerro López and Campanario. There are various adventure activities such as 4x4, trekking, hiking and aerosillas, among other options.

Trekking is one of the most sought after activities for those who like this type of walks. From the website  www.barilochetrekking.com , tourists have information on 62 trails, 6 crossings and 17 short walks, with a total of 450 km of trails to travel. It has navigable and downloadable maps for GPS, FAQs and recommendations. It is adaptable to all devices and has direct information about the forecast and climate of the place.

 Adrenaline and excitement

If you are looking for extreme entertainment, Bariloche is ready all year round to provide excursions and infrastructure in services. You can visit the horseback riding centres, which are ideal for half day or full day trips with expert baqueanos. For a little more adrenaline and emotions, rafting with varying degrees of difficulty can be done throughout the day. There is also the possibility to do stand up rafting.

Bariloche has a great offer for adventurers, you can also make canopy through the coihues forest with a route of 1,500 meters, one of the longest in South America.

Bariloche is enjoyed in all seasons and in all its modes: adventure, relaxation, sports, nature and adrenaline.
