Limay River Lodge

Discover the famous  Limay Medio  River and next to its banks the beautiful Limay River Lodge. A dream river that flows with its crystal clear waters for more than 80 kilometers along the semi-arid Patagonian steppe with the huge lake formed by the El Chocón dam. The fact that it flows into that gigantic lake provides the possibility of fishing huge migratory brown trout that will swim upstream during the season preparing to spawn. In this area the largest pieces of brown trout are obtained throughout northern Patagonia Argentina.

This Lodge is a true luxury eco-lodge amidst Patagonian nature, and the first (and only) hostel on the incredibly productive Limay Medio River offering high-end accommodation as well as its gastronomy. It is just three and a half hours from the airports of San Martín de los Andes and Bariloche


Limay River Lodge is a U-shaped structure with an open patio and is very close to the river. This is an advantage that are looking for those who just want to go fishing. The lodge can accommodate 14 fishermen in 7 double rooms, each with large open wardrobes and private bathrooms. It also has outside the rooms wader hangers to leave the clothing that was moistened at the exit.

The dining and living room are located in a large open space on the east end of the lodge. Every night a large campfire is lit in the courtyard that gives it a magical atmosphere, an ideal place to gather to contemplate the stars with a good glass of wine. There is reliable WiFi connection, but there is no cellular service.

Collon Cura Lodge

The Collón Cura river offers very special characteristics, is a river that collects the waters of several other tributaries as it flows from north to south, 11 rivers throw their waters into this powerful waterbed. It is another classic river that winds along the northern Patagonian steppe that offers ideal conditions for aquatic life.

The banks lined with willows and rolling hills shape the unique and attractive landscape of the Collón Cura River. Underwater life is varied and profuse. The Collón Cura river valley is populated with some of the most spectacular wild species. Fishing can be done both wading and from the boat in order to reach incredibly productive hot spots.


Collón Cura Lodge can accommodate up to eight people in 4 double rooms with private bathroom and a cosy living room. It is only 45 minutes from San Martín de los Andes airport and one and a half from Bariloche.
