WINE ROUTE IN NEUQUEN

I mean it's not just oil

Añelo was known in the last time for the  exploitation of the deposits found in the Vaca Muerta region . The municipality located 100 kilometers from the capital of Neuquina, doubled in size and population in just a couple of years.  With more than forty vineyards, Añelo is positioned as the region that grew most in terms of wine culture.

La  Bodega del Añelo  is one of the artisanal wineries that ranks in the sale of monthly liters. It has about seventy hectares in production, with the varieties Pinot Noir, Malbec, Merlot and Chardonnay.  Its brand “Cruz Diablo” can be tasted in the most exclusive restaurants in the province.

Vine crops are carried out without insecticide treatments,  since the winds in the area prevent the formation of fungi . Harmful chemicals are also not used in the formation of wine.   You can visit the winery with prior notice to take a tour of the facilities , as well as the vineyards, and end with a tasting.

The Bodega del Añelo is located by Route 7, before reaching the city of the same name. In the same region where this town  is located, there is also San Patricio del Chañar, known exclusively for wine activity.  Between its fertile valley fields, a modern facade building stands. It is the headquarters of the  Bodega del Fin del Mundo, the largest winery in Patagonia

There is a direct route to Mendoza and it is also home to one of the most delicious and characteristic dishes in Neuquén: El chivito. The strong meat of this little animal, makes its fat tasty but heavy. The best way to go to the chivito is with a piece of bread, followed by a good drink of neuquino wine, and Chos Malal takes his chest when it comes to producing reds. Bodega Des de la Torre is one of the most important in the area. Among the activities that can be enjoyed in the winery are the tour of the vineyards to appreciate the development of the vines at different stages of the year (with the imposing landscape of the wind range in the background), orientative talks according to the seasonality of the winemaking process, and the visit to the winery where it is shown how does the “art of wine making” continue to be realized from generation to generation. In addition to the classic tasting of wines with gourmet products from the area, there is the possibility of making technical visits to the vineyards. They explain the traditional work performed in the vineyards. During the harvest period special guided grapes are made with grape collection and subsequent steps from it, as was done in past centuries.
