Not only is there jungle in Misiones... there are also flowers

Better known as the Flower Region, this area comprises seven missionary cities adorned with the most beautiful flowers on the coast.

Región de las Flores

Misiones is famous for its jungle, waterfalls and colourful land. But there is much more to know, because the province also has flowers.

In the heart of the missionary territory, 100 kilometers from the unique Iguazu Falls, there are seven cities you have to visit.  Ruiz de Montoya,  Capioví , Puerto Rico, Garuhapé, El Alcázar, Caraguatay and Monte Carlo make up the beautiful Flower Region . A place where  nature , peace, colors and aromas are four constant along the way.

You know!, in the Flower Region there are going to be flowers.  But they will also be able to carry out activities of all kinds, such as adventure tourism, agrotourism and ecotourism . Every place within the Region has something different to tell and offer about its traditions and ways of life. We are talking about municipalities where European immigration and ethnic and cultural diversity is another important constant. In addition to flowers, obviously

 I want flowers!

The Flower Region offers a wide range of colors, natural landscapes and flowers, many flowers. Especially, orchids that grow and grow in this area. Here you will be able to enjoy more than 350 species of native orchids, and a thousand more cultivated varieties.

One of the spells of this Region is the Solar del Che. Here you will be able to know the home of a part of the childhood of Ernesto “Che” Guevara. But not everything is history and culture. These two qualities are mixed between reddish lands, green grasslands of different shades and other beauties.

However, within this  region , the city of   Monte Carlo   is distinguished by being the most”flourishing” of all. Located on the banks of the Paraná River, 180 kilometers from Posadas, is the  National Capital of Orchid . It is also the Headquarters of the Flower Festival during the second week of October. An event that has been calling for decades different producers, growers, scientists, collectors and fans of orchids both domestic and foreign.

The Region has a  large number of public and private orchidariums  open to the general public. Only Monte Carlo offers 20 plant and flower nurseries, and 8 orchidariums with more than 300 native species.
