Recently, the winery Viña Las Perdices opened a new and modern building. In this note we tell you details.
Viña Las Perdices gives a good experience for all those who want to understand Mendoza, enjoy the beauty of the landscape and the warm welcome of the whole that makes up wine tourism.
The property is located in Agrelo, Luján de Cuyo, just 40 kilometers from the capital of the province, lying on the Andes Mountains. The winery is located on a property characteristic of the region of 96 hectares of vineyards. It has vines more than 40 years old and with a range of 17 different varieties between white and red. This quality allows them to have a wide range of wines unusual in family wineries.
The place offers a visit that begins with a story about the Muñoz López Family, creator of Viña Las Perdices, and the beginnings of the winery. Then you tour the oldest vineyard, a parral of Bonarda located in the vicinity of the new building, and follow the area of the tanks. Here the visitor will learn all about the development of the preparation of wines and sparkling wines. It ends with a tasting, which will be done on the deck, terrace or reception.
There are three types of tastings. One includes four wines of different classic lines. Another, on the other hand are four distinctive labels. The last one in addition to tasting three emblematic labels of the vine adds a table of cheeses.
If we talk about architecture original building Viña Las Perdices refers to the creations carried out in Spain in the late nineteenth and early twentieth century, typical of the usual Mendoza wineries. It is exposed brick and roof of gable leg tiles. The construction fuses the Andalusian tradition of the founders with high technology and latest generation machinery. It conveys a strong and emblematic image as opposed to the natural landscape of Cordón del Plata and the vineyards that cover it.
The entry into the new tourism sector is made after walking a path determined by grasses and aromatic, which leads to a waterfall that forms a mirror of water that in the afternoon reflects the new building.
The entrance is via a lobby that connects the visitor to the reception, the tank area and a staircase that transports to the upper floor.
The lobby is adorned with the drawing of the Eye of the Partridge on the floor that is reiterated on the ceiling. The iris of the figure has a skylight, causing natural light to fall zenithal on its equal on the floor.
A huge window in the living room makes it easy to enjoy the view of the water mirror, the canal, the vines and the mountains. By means of a deck that connects the building with the green, you enter the terrace from which you have a wonderful view. An imposing experience for visitors at all times and at any season of the year.
