How much does parking cost in Mendoza?

If you plan your vacation in Mendoza and plan to come by car, consider this note about how much it leaves and how the measured parking works.

Travelling by car is, for many, the most pleasant way to transport us during our holidays. You can go chatting, drinking mates, sleeping, knowing places, stopping, etc. Even, it is very useful because allows us to move within our destination, without relying on third parties, schedule and schedule of the taxi, Uber or public transport. No however, they are not all positive. In some slightly more urbanized cities, parking is presented as a headache, because of its unavailability and its price.

In Mendoza the parking lot has been measured for several years. But not with machines or parking meters, but with municipal employees responsible for controlling the schedule and charging the parking lot. However, there are several details to keep in mind such as the schedule, the price and the areas where we can park or, in reality, where we can park without being charged, officially, at least. This is clarified because, in many cases, some people take advantage of parking times where parking is not regulated and ask for money in exchange for “taking care of the car”.

The price is from 15 pesos every half hour. For its implementation, the official of parking space will be placed in the car windshield a card, marking the date and time, every 30 minutes. Upon return the person to his car must pay the officer 15 pesos per each card has been placed. Here it is important to mention that many times workers are charging in another vehicle and may delay some minutes to attend to us. There we must be supportive and wait for them. This is clarified because many motorists take the opportunity to leave without pay, harming the humble worker.

Payment areas

In principle, the measured parking applies only to the City of Mendoza. And not even for the whole commune, but only for some sectors, the most touristic, of course. In the microcenter — this is between Avenida Gobernador Videla, Boulogne Sur Mer, Peltier and Las Heras—, you pay parking on all the streets where it is allowed, and in these opening hours: Monday to Friday from 8.30 to 13.30 and from 16 to 21, and on Saturdays from 8.30 to 13.30.

But in Calle Arístides Villanueva, things change. It is paid Monday to Friday from 8.30 to 4, on Saturdays from 8.30 to 13.30 and from 21 to 4, and on Sundays from 21 to 4.
