A tourist interpretation center will be inaugurated on May 24 in the jujujuño section of Qhapaq Ñan or Camino del Inca that will also function as a visitor reception center, reported the Ministry of Culture and Provincial Tourism.
“While the main Andean Inca Trail runs several sites in our province, the section that entered as a World Heritage Site is in the Jujena town of Santa Ana,” said Tourism Products Director Sandra Nazar.
On site will be inaugurated a tourist interpretation center next to the Municipal Commission of Santa Ana that will have a guide as in charge of the facilities which will also function as a visitor reception center , it was reported.
Like the interpretation center of Valle Colorado, next to Santa Ana, in the east of the province, the building was also operated by local artists and renowned archaeologist Axel Nielsen.
“ Artistic beauties and lots of content were brought together to learn about the Inca Trail,” said Nazar.
Regarding Qhapaq Ñam said that with the provincial coordination we work for its conservation and “to have an explanation of the entire history of the region and what the way means.”
