A tourist interpretation center will be inaugurated on May 24 in the Jujeño stretch of Qhapaq Ñan or Camino del Inca that will also function as a reception center for visitors, said the provincial Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
“ Although the main Andean trail of the Inca runs through several sites of our province, the section that entered as a World Heritage Site is in the Jujeña town of Santa Ana,” said the director of Tourist Products, Sandra Nazar.
At the site will be inaugurated a tourist interpretation center next to the Municipal Commission of Santa Ana that will have a guide as manager of the facilities which will also function as a reception center for visitors, it was reported.
Like the interpretation center of Valle Colorado, adjacent to Santa Ana, east of the province, the building was also operated by local artists and renowned archaeologist Axel Nielsen.
“ Artistic beauties and a lot of content were combined to learn about the path of the Inca,” Nazar said.
Regarding the Qhapaq Ñam said that with the provincial coordination work is done for its conservation and “to have an explanation of the entire history of the region and what the road means”.
