How to clean water when you're camping

The most experienced in the field of outdoor activities say that you should never drink water of dubious origin.

Como potabilizar el agua

If you do not know the source of the  water  you will ingest when you are  camping , it is important to take precautions not to suffer poisoning. Nature's water can be contaminated by fertilizers used in the area or by animals. Intake of impure water can bring many problems to the body:typhoid or cholera, in addition to other disorders generated by parasites.Fortunately, there are several ways of drinking this liquid:

  •  Boiling : For at least 5 to 10 minutes. All bacteria die at the moment when the water reaches its boiling point.
  •  Tablets for drinking: This method is the most practical. They are ready-made and over-the-counter tablets that clean the water.
  •  Chlorine : It is one of the most effective and effective disinfectants against bacteria. After laying, mix well and let stand for 30 minutes so that the chlorine comes into contact with the microorganisms.
  •  Iodine : It is effective in eliminating bacteria, viruses and other microorganisms that may be found in water. With 2 to 10 drops per liter is enough to purify it.
