How to get around the city of Paraná?

Did you get to Paraná and don't know how to move? Here we tell you all the means of transport you can use in the capital entrerriana.

Paraná is the beautiful capital of the province of  Entre Rios . In Guaraní it means “relative of the sea” because it is located on the left bank of the river that gives it its name. The city is famous for its steep ravines over 80 meters high. Barranco that give you an incomparable view of river, islands and sunsets unparalleled.

The provincial capital offers visitors a natural environment of beaches, coastlines and nautical clubs with all kinds of water activities. But at the same time it has all the best of a big city. Culture, history and daily and evening trips to cafes and pubs. So how to move inside the city to enjoy its attractions to the fullest?

 Collectives

The most commonly used option is the line collectives. Urban transport in Paraná has a total of 23 lines and 29 branches, operating throughout the day.  To use the collective you need the SUBE card  (Single Electronic Ticket System). Getting the card is very easy. You should request a care shift, through the website  www.sube.parana.gob.ar  and follow the instructions.

On the other hand,  the city has a free application for public transport called  “When does it arrive?”.   This application allows users to know how long it will take the bus to reach the stop where they are located. It also contains the streets of the city of Paraná and nearby towns such as San Benito and Oro. So there are a total of 1500 streets loaded into the app. Another interesting feature is the search option called Near Stops. This is especially useful for tourists, as it provides information about the stops next to the location of the cell phone.

 Wifi Zones

Today, the internet is the best tourist guide we can count on. This is why the city has free Wi-Fi networks located in various parts of the capital entrerriana. The good thing is that for none of the connections it is necessary to have a username or password. All antennas appear with the name “Muniparana-XX”.

To connect to any of the Wi-Fi zones you need to have a line of view and depend on the device with which the user wants to connect. It's that easy! This is an ideal service for times when we don't have internet on our phone or we just don't want to ask someone how to get there.

 From terminals and airports

If you are a tourist and arrive in the city by bus or by plane, it is good to know how to access the city centre. The Bus Terminal is located less than two kilometres from the town centre. So, if you travel with little luggage, walking is a quick and healthy option. Naturally, you can travel by public transport, taxi or remis.

For those arriving by air to Paraná, they will descend at General Justo José de Urquiza Airport. The Airport is  located eight kilometers southeast of Paraná . From there, there are several means of transport to get to the centre. For those who decide to stay more than a few days in the capital entrerriana, one of them is car rental. This is one of the most practical means, as it is located within the same facilities as the Airport. This avoids hassle and streamlines the procedures involved in renting a car. The best known companies providing this service are Alamo, Avis, Localiza and Travel Rent a Car. A cheaper option to get from the Airport to the city is the bus line 4. The cost of the ticket is very accessible and in less than 20 minutes you will be up to the Center.
