La Cumbrecita is a small village located in the Calamuchita valley in the Sierras Grandes in the province of Córdoba. It is located at an altitude of 1450 meters above sea level and that is why it is one of the most precious natural wonders of our province. It is located near the Champaqui Hill, the highest in Cordoba. This post is known for being the first pedestrian town in Argentina , and delights tourists with its ecological imprint, the natural silence that composes it invites us to relax like never before.
This wonderful point of the valley integrates the perfect tourist itinerary with its unique landscape proposal. It also offers the possibility to enjoy during the summer season the waterfalls and slopes that sprout from the mountains.
La Olla is one of the most visited resorts in the Almbach stream. Along with hiking, horseback riding, trekking, fishing and adventure tourism it becomes effective in one of the most unprecedented practices of arborism. All are activities that propose another way to venture into the territory. La Olla is located at one end of the village and surrounded by a coniferous forest. It is a water jump that glides down the rocks and falls into a natural pool that is about six meters deep. From this point you can also go diving to explore what is hidden in the background.
The water that comes down from the mountains and its route through rocky terrain , along with the tranquility and serenity of the mountain areas, make up this extraordinary natural area. Ideal for bold divers because it has a very high side wall and its depths, it is also suitable for the little ones due to the differences in the levels of depressions that this place presents.
This German village in general can be enjoyed at any time of the year. In winter, teahouses offer rich hot chocolate cakes while enjoying a beautiful snow-filled landscape . However in summer, it is the perfect spot to enjoy a good dip . Cold, crystal clear and deep waters, small white sand beaches framed by lush vegetation, are the perfect combination to have fun with the family and to cool off on warm days.
In this particular context Jany Quinteros, the director of tourism of the town told the media that despite the pandemic, there is already 75% of hotel occupancy and by the first half of January, it is already a 75% hotel occupancy andaacute; oscillating by 90%.
“ We are with all the health care and protocols so that those who come to La Cumbrecita feel safe,” he said.
