A hidden secret in the north of Cordoba

In the language of the Comechingones Ongamira means "the energy of all creation".

"The energy of all creation": this is how the Comechingones baptized this corner of northern Cordoba. That is the meaning of Ongamira, and it summarizes part of the spirit that is lived in their lands. Ongamira is located about 120 kilometers from the city of Cordoba. There are hidden marvelous landscapes, geological secrets and ancestral legends that await whoever wants to go and discover them. The mystical Ongamira Valley invites you to spend the soles of your shoes going through each one of its stops. In the opposite head of the valley, there is a hill with two names: the Charalqueta or Colchiqui, which with its 1575 meters of height dyes the footwear color brick because of its sandstone. Caves, viewpoints with 360-degree views and even an archaeological eave -which allows us to reconstruct the life of the first inhabitants of this land- complete the proposal, in which everyone can decide where to start, what to follow and where to stay. The ultimate goal of the journey is none other than to join nature, reflection and abstraction. At our own time and enjoying each moment: this is the ideal way to approach Ongamira, another hidden secret in the north of Cordoba.
