Puerto Madryn ready for Summer 2021

Summer is approaching and Madryn is already ready to welcome tourists.

The opening to tourism in  Chubut  is scheduled in three stages, the first began on 19 November, when tourism and internal circulation between regional bubbles (Senguer-San Jorge, Valdés and the Andes) were enabled, with operation of hotels, tourism activities and gastronomy.

Secondly, from November 30, the borders between the regions were opened and then, on 15 December, the provincial boundary will do the same. As for access, the province of Chubut will not request PCR or swab for the entry of tourists, who will not have to quarantine either.

Puerto Madryn will receive a Modular Health Hospital, fully equipped, with test box, shockroom, isolation area, and all necessary sanitary services. It will be located in the south of the city and will assist visitors and locals. Once the pandemic is over, the modular hospital will definitely stay in the city.

Safe Travels Seal and Health Quality Seal

Madryn is a safe destination, obtained the  Safe Travels seal, of international quality granted by IMPROTUR and endorsed by the World Travel and Tourism Council. In addition, the Ministry of Tourism of Madryn created the Health Quality Seal, a tool intended for tourist accommodation and restaurants. We worked together with the provider with the delivery of signage and training for the implementation of the protocols of Tourist Accommodation and the measures of the Gastronomy Protocol, prepared by the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Nation and FEHGRA.

Through the Health Quality Seal, it was achieved:

Train and certify companies in the sector on hygiene and health protocols.

Provide trust and health security to visitors and local residents.

Validate the correct implementation of standardized quality and health safety processes and recognize the effort and commitment of tourist establishments to improve the provision of their services.

Mitigate the risk of contagion of different viruses such as COVID-19, raise awareness among the different actors of tourism about the importance of the quality of services and their relationship with tourism

Strengthen the service areas responsible for direct customer service

Establish quality standards for this activity and also contribute to preserving the sources of work in the tourism sector

Beaches and spas

The city has 7 spas that are waiting for tourists with the protocols regulated by the Ministry of Tourism of the Nation. From the pier, in the city center, to the Indian Monument there are miles and uninterrupted kilometers of beach for walking, running and spending the day in front of the calm waters of the Golfo Nuevo.

The beaches are always wide, but when the tide is low, from the Rambla there can be several blocks of sand until you reach the shore. Therefore, it is very easy to find a secluded, own place that is at the same time close to a place with all the corresponding services and protocols. The paradores are also accessible to people with disabilities and several have restaurants, with exquisite lunch and dinner letters, and various outdoor activities. In several of them, they offer windsurfing and kite classes, kayaking, board rental and stand up paddle and yoga classes, diving baptisms and snorkeling with sea lions in Punta Loma.

Protocol on the beaches of Madryn:  Each cohabiting family group can enjoy the entire coastal sector and should be located 10 meters away from another group. That's no inconvenience on these extensive beaches. The paradores will be governed by the beach protocol of the Ministry of Tourism of the Nation for the use of tents and loungers.

Tents and umbrellas shall be placed in compliance with minimum distance conditions of 3 meters. In the case of tents, it is recommended to leave a tent unoccupied in order to meet this requirement. There will be a maximum allowable of 4 adults plus minors who are part of the family group.
