A promise for industrial tourism lovers

If you are a lover of industrial tourism, the Oil Route in Chubut is going to be your favorite destination. We tell you what it is.

la ruta del petróleo turismo industrial

On the side of  Route 26, in the province of Chubut , the landscape is peculiar. The Patagonian desert is dotted with the rhythmic whining of storks that go up and down, go up and down. But the ones that move are not real storks. Storks, actually, is the name people use to refer to oil well pumping units. If you are a lover of industrial tourism,  the Oil Route  in Chubut is going to be your favorite destination.

Who said sightseeing is just enjoying nature?

Industrial tourism  is a form of sightseeing that has been booming in recent times. Whether visiting former factories, mines, mills or other industries that are currently in operation, millions of tourists around the world are increasingly interested in learning about the local history and production of the place.

In our country there are recognized industrial tourism circuits that seek to promote the national industrial heritage. The Yerba Mate Route in  Misiones  or  the Wine Route in Men   d  oza  are some known examples.

The Pétroleo Route seeks to offer tourists an interpretation of the exploitation of its main economic resource, oil. It is located on Route No. 26, in the city of   Comodoro Rivadavia  . And this is for two main reasons. The first, because Comodore is  the National Petroleum Capital , since it was the first place where hydrocarbons were discovered on the national territory. The second, because it has one of the most important oil basins in South America. So, if you're interested to know about the  oil industry , this is the right place.

 A highly anticipated proposal

The Oil Route will allow you to know all aspects of the life of people linked to that powerful industry. The story of  generations  of pioneers, adventurers, entrepreneurs and workers. So, if you're an industrial tourism lover, pack some sturdy boots, sunglasses, and head for National Route 26.
