House Corona in Mar del Plata

The DNA of the safe sunset in a pandemic season: respect for protocols in a beach environment.

The pandemic has revolutionized every aspect of people's lives. Holiday habits, going to the beach, sunsets after the day of the sea, are some of the rituals that we repeat year by year, and that today have a new DNA. Casas Corona rescues these guidelines, adapts them to its capacity, and frames them in its tradition of brand born on the beach, surrounded by the ocean. During the summer, on one of the southern beaches of  Mar del Plata , Bosques del Faro, Cerveza Corona opens the doors of its Casa Corona and invites you to enjoy the best sunsets in a safe environment.

The pandemic imposed its rules, and today the Argentine beaches show a new physiognomy: reduced capacity and distance between umbrellas are some of the policies that already apply.

Casas Corona is a place that offers artistic, gastronomic experiences and the best sunsets in Mar del Plata. The calendar includes from Yoga classes with Agustina Etchegoyen, surf lessons by the Quba school of Lele Utuna (Argentine Champion of the discipline), to acustic and DJ Sessions.

True to the brand's DNA, Sustainability occupies a priority space when it comes to defining beach activities: talks by entrepreneurs who accompany the brand's philosophy such as Meraki, Eyebond and Swahilli, beach cleaning in partnership with Parley for the Oceans, incorporating a recycling machine created by Reciqlo, which allows shredding the glass bottles already used (waste that are then sent to the Cattorini cooperative to manufacture new packaging).

The appearance of the parador bears the seal of the necessary distancing and respect for the health protocols that impose the times: admission is by list, it is mandatory the use of barbijos, the parador has “bubbles” house maximum groups of 10 people, among other guidelines designated by the Municipality of Mar del Silver The procedures have been developed in accordance with WHO guidelines and regulations in force at the municipal, provincial and national levels, for the peace of mind of all, Casa Corona visitors.

There is also a Covid-19 Unit dedicated to the daily monitoring and efficiency of all procedures, as well as updating procedures and carrying out safety and hygiene training to all Casas Corona employees continuously, with constant monitoring throughout the season.

The waste generated in the parador will be separated into organic, plastics, aluminum and cardboard. It is withdrawn by a Marplatan cooperative called the Federation of Cartoneros and Waste Pickers, who are in charge of carrying the garbage to their respective recycling centers.

Another activity that takes centre stage in the 2021 calendar is the continuation of the Corona campaign “Plastic does not belong to the ocean”, launched in 2019 in partnership with the NGO Parley for the Oceans.
