We tell you the story of Vanesa Fundaró , the 37-year-old blind athlete who reached the top of Cerro Champaquí, in Córdoba. She cheered up, and knocked down all the obstacles that were presented to her. She fulfilled a dream, an outstanding debt to herself. And he got to the top.
Vanesa climbed along with the Cross Run group . Thanks to different companions of this band, he had enough support to cheer up. And he did it at once. This athlete is dedicated to training in different disciplines. He ran marathons , kayaking and much more. But the Champaqui proposal was a different challenge. It involved a hard training and a hard day. However, Vane was encouraged. Carlos and Magdalena Nieto (father and daughter), members of the Cross Run club, promoted her. They gave him his support and all the containment Vane needed to give yes to the proposal to raise the Champa .
Vane was aware it wasn't going to be easy. And what stopped her most was the fact of delayed her trekking companions . However, everyone showed a great interest in living the experience with her. So Vane gave the yes. The group generated a network of support and mutual containment , which made this adventure unique. It was an unforgettable trekking day for everyone present. After two days of climbing, they reached the top.
Adventure was an apprenticeship for everyone. Because, in addition to the individual challenge, there was a collective goal. And because it was news in all media!
The Champa received for the first time the visit of a non-seer woman. It was a gift for all Cordobeses. A hope for the non-seer population. And an impetus to continue to believe that our dreams can be fulfilled if there is collective support. Vane does not stop thanking her team and recognizing that the group work was the one that took her to the top after all her effort.
