The obejtivo is not just sport. But also the social, for women's football teams. They aim to continue to grow. Therefore, the Argentine Football Association will seek further development of the basic categories to nurture the Major National Team. In this framework, Diego Guacci was presented as the new coach of the U15 and Under 17 Teams. He will not be alone, of course: Barbara Abot will accompany him as a technical duo, Maximiliano Brucoli as a physical trainer and Vanesa Sarroca as an archer trainer.
The coaching staff of the youth divisions spoke with the AFA Official Site, emphasizing the importance of educating all the players who are part of the National Team in an integral way. “We must cover several aspects, not only from the physical-technical-tactical but from the aptitudinal, understanding that they are players who have a life outside the sport. Education is from sports and social,” said Abot. The fitness trainer added: “We must give them tools to grow and improve physically and technically, that they can reach the major selections with a construction of integral physical development. Construction has to be slow and long-term.” Sarroca also said: “The goal is to train, start working from scratch in order to develop the girls and be able to supply the archers tomorrow to the Major National Team.”
The three members of the team agreed that getting to wear the celestial and white shirt represents great pride, but also a very big responsibility: “That's what you have to convey to the girls: you have to work to stay here and overcome each other day.”
