A new World Champion

Jeremiah Ponce, the native of José Mármol, was consecrated the new IBO  Superliviano  World Champion. It was in  Germany , against German Rico Mueller. In majority decision, after the 12 rounds.

Ponce has an exclent  record  . He's undefeated in 25, with nothing more or nothing less, than 16 before the limit. With only 23 years old, the new World Champion is shown as one of the great  promises  of the  box   Argentinian .

European Career

He is a disciple of the great Saints Zechariah. In fact, Santos's son trains him. Which is a guarantee for Jeremiah. It is making its way through IBO, an entity not recognized by FAB. Like the WBA, WBO, IFF or CMB. But not for it, minor. Just remember that from IBO came out Mayweather, Pacquiao and Golovkin, among others. IBO is a good partnership to acquire international rubbing in its first defenses. And then jump to one of the big four. They will undoubtedly welcome the new World Champion with open arms.

We imagine a long career for this young pugil, very heavy hand and great style. Talent has. A good counselor in the corner, too. Hopefully he follows the good examples of the great local boxers. Like “Hurricane”  Narvaez , to name one.

On his return to Argentina, after the match, he was received by the mayor of Almirante Brown, Cascallares. There were Jeremiah, obviously and his coach. The mayor and his secretary of sports. Too bad boys can't stop campaigning all the time. The meeting was “dirty” by the presence of the FPV candidate, who really, had nothing to do there. A shame.
