I love my city...

Buenos Aires occupies the first place in the world ranking of cities with the highest number of theaters.

I live in a city where people... go to the theater almost every day of the week. Buenos Aires occupies the first place in the world ranking of cities with the highest number of theatres. From the traditional, modern and crowded theatres of  Corrientes Avenue  , which at one time was known as “The street that never sleeps”; to the small halls, houses, schools, workshops, clubs, bars, where alternative works of the highest level are unfolded. Nothing limits the art of Buenos Aires. He has endured and endured all kinds of economic and political crises; however, “show must go on”. Thanks to the enormous effort and passion with which millions of artists dedicate their lives to performing art in all its forms, we can delight in all kinds of theatrical proposals. Since the time of the  Greek Tragedy , in the staging of themes sensitive to the time, in myths, in celebrations, spectators could identify themselves with characters from very complex psychology.Today, this has not changed and humans seek to get together so that the characters transmit to us stories in which we see ourselves reflected. In turn, psychology and theater have always had a very close link. In the theater a roll is performed, in which all kinds of emotions and personalities can be played; encouraging to give free rein to fantasy, imagination, detaching ourselves, even for a moment, from reality, and letting us be carried away by the proposal offered by the play, the actors, the directors, the Screenwriters. Almost every night in Buenos Aires you can see the restless lines of numerous spectators waiting to open the curtain and start the show. Perhaps this is possible thanks to those people who admirably follow the strong desire to act. Maybe because there are people who follow  Anton Chekhov 's beautiful idea: “... When I think of my vocation, I am not afraid of life...“.
