The Merli phenomenon

Could it be that Merli is a "phenomenon" because he shows himself as a guy with passions, desires, conflicts, contradictions?

The Merlí series stands out because a professor of philosophy aims to help his adolescent students build their own judgment and follow their passions and desires, stimulating both thinking and feeling. The success of the saga is striking, amidst so many mega-productions and spectacular police stories that have remained favourite since the times of Arthur Conan Doyle, Agatha Christie, Edgar Alan Poe, who were the parents of this genre that will continue to occupy the centre of our fiction. In his classes, Merli puts his teachings into practice through Socrates' Mayeutic, Hegel's Dialectic, Descartes' Doubt, the discovery of Freud's Unconscious, among other great thinkers, in a vital and experiential way. He is a teacher who, without losing his teaching role and his place as an adult, approaches the daily life of his students and worries about their problems and anxieties. Giving their opinions and actively intervening to help them, both in and out of school, sometimes with successes and sometimes with mistakes... "he's playing for the kids." That is why Merli is a "phenomenon". He shows himself as a guy with passions, desires, conflicts, contradictions, a guy who chooses to question the educational and political systems, enjoy sex, fight with authority, lie, drink wine, eat, face his problems with his son and his mother, without ever losing his sense of humor and joy of life. Now.... Why is it that this series has found so many points of identification in young people and adults; why is it that some of the love of knowledge has been resurrected? I think it is worth asking ourselves these questions, and for that we could let ourselves be carried away by the methods taught by Merli and take some time to "philosophize" about them...
