If there's something I never understood, it's the elevator. Do I really need a guy to handle an elevator? Because the point is that it even makes me doubt myself: am I really not able to touch a button by myself? If anyone asks me, what floor are you going to?, up to a second before I was sure I was going to the eighth, but the question so direct, so questioning, displaces me, paralyzes me and makes me want to climb up the ladder.
What need for someone to handle something that doesn't bend or change course or speed or anything? I insist: just touch a button, just like I could. Or not? Are you a specialist in elevatorism? Did you do a master's degree, a doctorate? Do you have a first aid certificate? If I faint inside the elevator, can you help me? Are you able to have emergency surgery if I get a peritonitis in the middle of a power outage?
Speaking a little seriously, what an alienating job, mamma mine. Will they pay you unhealthy salary? You have to spend eight hours a day sitting on a bench (at best, some don't even have to sit the work shift on your feet) going up and down in a closed cabin. And in the summer? Are there lifts with air conditioning? Well, it's true, we don't overdo it that much either. There are worse jobs. Also, since the hand comes, let's not raise the partridge, it is not a thing that we leave an elevator without labor... On second thought, how useful are the elevators! What would we do without them?
