Argentines and the stamina

A term that defines us 100%.

How we talk
el aguante

For Argentines,   endurance is   something that does not need to be explained. It is the ability to tolerate, to endure, to resist. It is not — rather — the quality of facing adversity, of changing things, of getting ahead. It has more to do with  surviving , waiting for the bad to happen. Holding up is, perhaps, something we know best to do in this country.
Taken to our day to day, endurance has multiple uses: waiting (“Will you hold on for a while?”), the loan of money (“Can you hold me 100 pesos?”) and help those who have a bad time (“Tranqui, I'll make you the endurance”). Holding is good for us, because we're used to doing it. Because the storms pass, but  we  're still standing.
