Feeding tips in COVID times

Do not neglect good food in times of COVID. Being at home can result in healthier food or fast or pre-cooked foods.

Feeding in no case will prevent and less cure the so dreaded  COVID 19  or any other infection. But we're more protected if we feed well. Periodic intake of  vitamin C. 

We can give some food and nutrition recommendations for these COVID moments.

Among them:

  1. Drinking fluids is very important, mainly feeling thirsty or without feeling it. We must maintain a very good hydration. Especially our seniors.
  2. Eat  seasonal fruits  and vegetables, between 4 to 5 servings daily. 3 servings of fruits a day and 2 of vegetables.
  3. Consume whole products and  legumes : brown bread, brown rice. Legumes in a good stew, trying to include vegetables in the preparations.
  4. Some dairy products: milks and yoghurts, low-fat.
  5. Meats between 3 or 4 times a week. Between beef, fish and poultry. Eggs 3 or 4 times a week.
  6. Nuts such as walnuts, almonds and hazelnuts. Chia seeds, sesame and olive oil.
  7. Let's avoid fast food or pre-cooked food. They are not part of healthy eating.
  8. Let's find a way to do  physical activity .

We not only deal with the virus with caution and isolation.
