What will they say
It's time to roll up our sleeves and get down to business in a long-term, joint effort, but honestly.
As we are
Who said that we Argentines are not interested in the opinion of others?
Of course you do. There's no way we're gonna get slipped into what's being said or talked about. Ah! No? In the introspective look, it is enough to review the uninterrupted success of Rial or Marcelo in the TV in which the gossip wins, as well as the interest aroused by the replication of the news in the international media.
Like it or not, we are usually cannon fodder, for virtuosity or for the defective, for the greatness of the 10 on the court or for his inappropriate conduct off it, for the talent of Charly or for the fall since the "nové nové", for the humility of Jorge Mario or for the self-sufficient arrogance of Carlos or Cristina. And like these, thousands of examples to inevitably end up in the gaze of a world that magnifies the natural wealth of our land, contrasting with the shameful poverty of the world's granary.
During the last century and for many years we were the envy of South America, we stood out in education, health, social issues, culture, art, sports... Today we stand out in corruption, debt, insecurity, hunger and country risk... The world no longer expects anything from us, does not buy the well-known "we tie it with wire", nor the celebration of the goals with the hand, nor the euphoria of the congress for not assuming the debts contracted, knowing that we will only recover the credit and the confidence in the measure that we eliminate the Chicanas and bring the millions to invest them in our country.
The world looks at us from the sidelines, the VAR and the IMF control the faults and the deviations so that we can stop looking like we are. It is time to roll up our sleeves and get down to work in a long-term, joint effort, but honestly. Perhaps in a few years, hopefully soon, we will be able to reverse that clouded image.
After all, we are experts at reversing crises!
