If I was given to choose my favorite food, I would very likely answer “la  picadita .” And if you start thinking, does it make sense to choose cheese and cold meats as your favorite food? If I were condemned to death, would you be happy that Sardinian, fontina, mortadella and salame tandilero were the last flavors I would feel in my life? Well, the first answer to that is: a minced, or at least a minced lady, is much more than cheese and cold cuts. It also carries olives, and pickled eggplants, and seasoned beans, and sticks and chips and peanuts, peanuts, tostaditas and, the most sophisticated ones can even add vitel thoné. There are exaggerations that even add pieces of milanese, of course, cut little ones, which can be prickled with a scaver.

Well, going back to the favorite food: it seems to me (and it's just an assumption, I'm not at all sure), that the bite owes a lot of its fame to that it is ideal to share on a long table (of temporary duration and size, both) where you talk a lot (even more than what you eat). And, perhaps, the only thing that Argentines like better than meeting friends and chatting is to get together with friends and chat a lot. Anyway, how rich the tandilero salame, huh?
