Home People As we are I have no idea.

I have no idea.

On many occasions, gestures simplify communication, today we talk about the gesture of “I don't know”.

How do we talk  ? On many occasions, gestures simplify communication. Two people look at each other, one of them signs, and ready: the message is sent and received. In Argentina we have many variants of that dynamic. Today we want to talk about the gesture of “I don't know.”

It's simple: you just need to slide the back of your hand forward below the chin. We accompany that, of course, with “I don't know” face (which is not necessary to explain). If any question receives that gesture as an answer, it means that the person has no idea what we are asking him and therefore cannot help us.

Sometimes, the question is not even required. Faced with certain situations, with which one person directs his gaze towards the other in search of answers reaches. The second person, interpreting the stage, replicates with that gesture and reinforces what the first already knew: the situation — whatever — is incomprehensible. In that case, the inquisitor is only looking for someone to reaffirm what he believed.

Gestures, expressions, looks: it does not matter if we share the same language, the dialect of each place goes far beyond the words contained in the dictionary. Observing, understanding and applying it — in Argentina or wherever — is a fundamental part of learning to know a people.
