Argentines around the world

Matías Zaldarriaga  is an astrophysicist and cosmologist. He is, perhaps, the Argentine who knows the most about the origin of the Universe. And that's not all: he works where   Albert Einstein  used to teach. He lives in Princeton, United States, and was appointed a member of that country's Academy of Sciences.

Born in Coghlan (City of Buenos Airtes),  Matías Zaldarriaga  holds a degree in Physics from the University of Buenos Aires. He then received a doctorate from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He is a professor at Harvard, New York University and Princeton. He won several awards of his specialty, including MacArthur, in 2006, considered “the scholarship of the geniuses”. As if that were not enough, he has just assumed as a member of the United States Academy of Sciences, an honor reserved only for eminences.

Zaldarriaga works at the Princeton Institute for Advanced Studies, a world-renowned institution for those seeking to research on specific topics that contribute to the development of humanity. Founded in 1930,  Einstein  worked there and about thirty scientists who won the  Nobel Prize .

In his studies on the origin of the Universe, Matías Zaldarriaga seeks to understand the first moments in the history of Cosmos. Understand the hidden keys in the “cosmic microwave background”, the imprint or echo of the radiation generated by the Big Bang, and the subsequent distribution of matter. Everything that came into the Universe as we know it today.

That's what an Argentinean does at Princeton.  A pride .
