The Legislature declared Chef Mauro Colagreco “Outstanding Personality”

Argentine chef Mauro Colagreco was recognized as “outstanding personality” by the Buenos Aires Legislature. He was awarded three  Michelin stars. In addition, he owns the best restaurant in the world according to the prestigious competition “The World's 50 Best”.

Colagreco was born in  La Plata  in 1976. He studied much of his professional studies at the Buenos Aires headquarters of the Gato Dumas Institute. This is pointed out in the recitals of the draft prepared by Mr Eduardo Santamarina (Let's Go Together).

The approved initiative rewards Colagreco “for having been Buenos Aires the place where it was formed. And because it is a globally recognized  personality  .”

In 2006, after having graduated in France and having worked in the kitchen of chef Bernard Loisseaum, Colagreco settled in Menon, on the French Riviera. There opened the doors restaurant Mirazur which, over the years, would bring him international gastronomic fame.

In 2019 he became the first Argentine to earn three  Michelin stars, the most important recognition for a cook. A few weeks ago, his restaurant was chosen as the best in the world.

Previously, he had received the Order of the Knight of Arts and Letters granted by the French government to those who have distinguished themselves by their creations in the artistic or literary domain contributing to the dissemination and enhancement of the cultural values of  France  in the world.
