There are vocations that really involve leaving everything aside and facing situations that only those who live them can know what it is. When Marcela Mendonça discovered her vocation, she took her as far as she could. She is a nurse and is part of the NGO Médecins Sans Fronteras.
Since joining Médecins Sans Fronteras, Marcela changed her native San Isidro to destinations in Asia and Á Africa. This began in 2017, when he made his first trip to Angola to attend the health emergency that refugees from the Congo lived. Since then, he faces extreme situations every day.
In these two years, Marcela has already participated in four missions around the world. In them, he learned a very hard truth: most of his patients will die. That makes his work even more valuable, because he does not let himself be intimidated by this crude reality. Every morning he gets up and does his best to try to improve the lives of these suffering people beyond what we could imagine.
Marcela is another of the Argentine standard-bearers around the world . And one of the most valuable.
