Thanks to the housesitting, Bella and Matías have the possibility to stay in homes for free, and so they toured Australia and New Zealand.
Living on the road is the dream of many. But living on the road for free sounds almost like a utopia. Something like this achieved Bella and Matías, two Argentines who work as caretakers of homes in Australia and New Zealand, and meanwhile know amazing places.
Housesitting is a type of accommodation through which the owners of large mansions provide the possibility to other people to live in their houses while they're gone. Home and food in exchange for a few tasks like watering plants or caring for pets. A round business for any traveler.
How does it work? You simply have to build an onlineprofile , search for offers and apply. Then the owners of the houses choose the profile that most convinces them and give them the list of tasks that they will have to fulfill.
Bella and Matthias have been living this way for four yearsnow. What began as a way of doing tourism, which they planned to implement for six months, became a way of life.
They began with Brisbane, the capital of Queensland, Australia's third largest city. The homework? Take care of an amazing house hidden in the middle of wild nature, but in the center of the city. A place they would never have come to had it not been for the housesitting. Then they continued on Gold Coast, Newcastle, Sydney, Melbourne, Perth: they know practically everything about Australia and even traveled to Tasmania and the Pacific Islands .
Travellers, on holiday, without a fixed address and with a huge backpack of experiences. A lifestyle that is not for anyone, but that more than one would like to imitate.
