Two bites for the winter snacks

To accompany some mattes, tea or latte. We leave you two very rich recipes and easy to prepare. Snacks to fight the cold.

Dos bocados para las meriendas de invierno

The classic Argentine afternoon is a latte with toast. Or I matted with toast. But, while the liquid intake tends to change, the solid usually hovering around the same thing: toast with cheese and sweet. However, with a little desire and ingenuity, things can change. It is true that we also need time and money, but not much. Next, we leave you two recipes to make some very easy bites. In addition, they are practical to eat and very tempting.

Chocolate with almonds and cocoa

If we review the nutritional values of these two components, we will find that they are high-calorie foods, ideal for low winter temperatures.Having these snacks on hand will always be a solution to kill hunger at the time of the snack or, also, at breakfast . Actually, at any time of the day.

Ingredients (6 chocolates)
  • 1 cup soaked almonds

  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil

  • 1 tablespoon bitter cocoa powder

  • 1 teaspoon stevia

Soaking the almonds will make them a little softer, and, in turn, will serve to digest them more easily and take better advantage of their nutrients. Once this is achieved, we process them, but only a little, so that they do not form a uniform paste. Then, in a bowl, mix them with coconut oil, cocoa and stevia. Then assemble the balls and let them cool. End of the secret. You already have your almond and cocoa bites.

Banana, chocolate and oatmeal cookies

It's not just cookies. These are true, totally nutritious bites. Its ingredients are very accessible and not an expensive food. Once finished, it is ideal to store them in an airtight container that allows moisture to be preserved and does not dry out.

Ingredients (6 cookies)
  • 1 banana

  • 250 cc oatmeal

  • 2 bars bitter chocolate

  • 100 g nuts

It is key to choose a well-ripe banana. This makes it easier to step on it and you can mix the rest of the ingredients. First of all, we need to step on the banana until there are no solid parts left. Then in a bowl we add the oatmeal and mix. Next, chop the two bars of chocolate into very small pieces and sprinkle it on the banana mixed with the oats. We take a handful of the pasta and give it the form of cookies on a baking tray. Once we have the 6 cookies armed, cover them with baking paper and put them 15 minutes in the oven over medium-strong heat. Meanwhile, we chop the nuts and so, as soon as they come out of the oven, sprinkle the pieces on the cookies, so they manage to adhere before they dry.

Now you already have two alternatives to the typical toast or croissants that, it is true, are the classic food of the Argentine snack, but, from time to time, it is not bad to try new things.
