The dessert of the students

We tell you a recipe that is key for when you have little money and a lot of craving. In five minutes you have the perfect dessert.

Turrón de Quaker

 Quaker Nougat, Turkish nougat, oatmeal nougat, is the key dessert of every grandmother and the traditional recipe that is passed on from family to family.    Each with his trick  and secret, prepares this  sweet and (inside) healthy economic delight, which is the wild card for when it  grabs us a  voracious craving.  It is almost  a parallel version to the chocotorta, a flavor pump that can be used  to accompany the mate or as a dessert.  If you eat a portion, you're going to want to eat it all. It is that the main  duo of this meal is the dynamic chocolate-dulce de leche duo.     Ricazo!

 Quaker's nougat is much healthier than another treat: 

 even if it has the sugar from the dulce de leche, it has oats, has cocoa from good 

 , it has no dyes, preservatives or everything that would have an industrial treat.  

 Besides you don't pay for the plastic wrap or generate extra waste, Quaker's 

 nougat  is very economical .  Much cheaper than an alfajor.   

 Quaker's nougat stays very well refrigerated, even improves.  

 Quaker's nougat is really easy to prepare and an ideal recipe to make with children.  

 When Quaker's nougat is over, you'll start crying.

In this recipe, the  main ingredients of the cupboard are combined.   This allows it to be  prepared without much planning and without having to go out and buy.  


  • 2 packs of water biscuits.
  •  This depends on the height  or size that you plan to make
  • 1 small butter, melted
  • 10 tablespoons sugar
  • 250 grams of oats
  • 10 tablespoons cocoa
  • 10 tablespoons milk


For this recipe, this section is key, because  in a student's house you will only find the  basic utensils:    this dessert does not need any more. 

Fountain, it can be metallic or glass.

Microwave-safe pot or container, to melt the butter.

 Step by step 

  1. In a fountain, I put a layer of cookies.
  2. In a pot, I melted the butter. Add sugar, oats and mix them. Add cocoa and milk, stirring constantly until thick.   This is the main mixture, the pump, the delight.  
  3. On the biscuit layer add one layer of the mixture, another layer of biscuits, more filling  and so on until finished with the mixture.  
  4. Let it cool 2 hours in the fridge, and you're done.

 Sweet tooth tips 

  •  We recommend that you  do not use a very large font,  so it looks higher and more layered.  
  • You don't want to wait 2 hours, leave it 20 minutes in the freezer. Check it at 10 minutes if your freezer is strong
  • You can bathe it in  chocolate coverage 
  • You can add  grated coconut to the sides or above, to give it more wave 
  • .
  • With the mixture, you  can also make truffle-like chocolates.  
  •  Or, if you don't have cookies , you can also eat the mixture alone, and warm. Just  be careful to pack yourself, because you're not going to be able to stop.
