Piña Colada

Its origin is related to stories of pirates...

It is the official drink of Puerto Rico since 1978. Its origin is related to stories of pirates, such as that of ship captain Roberto Cofresí who used it to raise the morale of his crew. Also presumed to be authorship is the bartender Ramón “Monchito” Marrero who experimented for three months until he hit the mixture of pineapple, coconut and rum in a hotel in San Juan. And the game of thrones follows because the bartender of the Barrachina restaurant and even an employee of the Caribbean Hilton, Ricardo Garcia, are running as a candidate. Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 oz. rum
  • 4 oz. pineapple juice
  • 1 1/2 oz. coconut milk
  • 1 cherry 1
  • piece of pineapple
  • Ice

Preparation: Mix rum, coconut cream and pineapple juice in a shaker or blender with ice until everything is well mixed. Serve in a collins glass and garnish with cherry and piece of pineapple.
