Orange Milanese

There is something that is very similar to the truth of Milanese, and is that Milanese can be made of everything. Today, orange milanese.

Bynorthwest Cordovan, there well arribita, almost on the border with Santa Fe, the orange milanese are the  ideal banquet. You never imagined  such a combination ? This is a recipe that is worth trying. While its name does not call us much, the result  is delicious - a delicacy!  It's just... tell me if there's anything richer in this world than the Milanese.

In Argentina we love  milanese :  meat, potato thigh, eggplant, soy or chickpeas. And the list goes on. Lentils, beans, fish. Why weren't we going to  make orange milanese?  In northwestern  Cordovan, we cheer up . It is a sweet dessert, the process of which is similar to the process of cow milanese.

Here we reveal the recipe:

  • Oranges
  • Milk
  • Egg
  • Flour
  • Sugar

 Pasito to pasito

  1. Peel the oranges, preserving the  white part,  and cut them into thin slices.
  2. We prepare the pancake mixture.

Do you know how to do it?

We break an egg, pour milk, sift flour and put a little sugar on it. Beat, beat and beat until there is a kind of  thick sauce.  With this preparation, is what we are going to  bounce the delicious orange slices. *

  1. We pass  the slice  through the mixture that we prepared earlier.
  2. Fry, in oil or grease, as you prefer.
  3. We eat the orange milanese
  4. and we  suck our fingers!

*Secret tip:  it is good to make the mixture rather thick, and with ordinary flour, so that it does not absorb so much oil or fat.

This delicacy  is the favorite of children in northwestern Cordovan. Grandmothers and grandparents, fathers and mothers, are prepared to cook this  delight as a prize.  It's like a mime to the soul.  These milanesites  can be eaten hot, warm or even cold.

But legend has it that it is inevitable not to  peck them  as we cook them . It's just that they're irresistible!  You,   will you dare to try them ?
