In a world where flavours acquire complexity and at the same time simplicity, oenologists embark on the adventure of making the alchemy of the vines used more complex and simplifying the individuality of the notes obtained. And as amauta, to express the experience that time and patience gives them. The amauta was the man in charge of verifying the facts of Quechua history in order to recite them publicly in the sun festivities. And it is in the winery where this transformation is achieved. Bodega El Porvenir invites us, from the altitudes of Salta, to taste the blends that it has been making since 2010 and that have their expression in four presentations. Under the name of Amauta Innovación de 2011 (it is important to highlight the vintage because the following year the varietal composition changed) it offers us a cut of Syrah, Malbec and Tannat. So we have a wine with a lot of ink in sight. Dark violet colours, brilliant and with tears that denote the passage through the barrel and the present level of alcohol. Its aromas show the simplicity of the composition. The black and ripe fruits of Syrah, the flowers of Malbec and the rusticity of Tannat are perceived. In the mouth is where the alchemy is complete. In a sweet entry, we find the flavors of the aromas described above and add the presence of coffee. Unctuous and balanced, with little acidity and astringency, it takes over the moment with a medium finish. In this way, the purpose of the amauta is achieved and the party in which the learnings of its history are communicated: they are the sips we give to our glass.
