G and Tea

A five clock tea gin and tonic version. Shall we try it?

G and Tea

If you like tea, but you also like  gin , this is your drink. A tribute to five o'clock tea, the English tea ritual, in a version of  gin and tonic . Weird? No: Unbelievable. I'll tell you how to prepare it.

  •  Method : direct

  •  Ice : rocks

  •  Glass: wine glass

  •  Decoration : half slice of orange

 The ingredients

  • 50 ml gin Prince of the Apostles

  • Ceylon Orange Pekoe Twinings

  • 150 ml tonic White Octopus

In a wine glass, place the strands inside a tea diffuser, add the Apostles and move the diffuser a little so that the tea gives off its taste. Let stand for a minute, add six ice rocks and tonic water and stir. Garnish with half a slice of orange.

 About the author

I grew up in Pinamar, on the coast of Buenos Aires, in front of the Argentine Sea, cradled by tides, that movement of ascent and descent of the waters caused by the Sun and the Moon. The Atlantic Ocean and its horizon reminded me of the place from which my grandparents arrived. The sea is a metaphor for my life. I'm Renato  Giovannoni , I was a young man, a gardener and a mason. I studied film in Los Angeles, I also like to draw and received as a director of advertising art. But I chose to be a bartender, and everything I learned from places and people I met is applied in my drinks. Living is also sailing, and there is a drink to accompany every moment. They know me as  Tato . Welcome to my sea.
