Fried sautenas empanadas

A classic from the north of our country.


 Ingredients:   Filling: 

  • Butter 50 grs
  • Onion 300 grs
  • Buttock 1 kilo
  • Ground chili
  • pepper Paprika
  • Cumin
  • Oregano
  • Salt
  • Ground black pepper
  • Potato 300 grs
  • Pork fat 200 grs
  • Butter 40 grs
  • Chicken broth 400 cc
  • Onion de verdeo 400 grs
  • Egg 6


  • Flour 000 1 kilo
  • Pork fat 150 grs
  • Water 400 cc
  • Salt

 Procedure:  For filling the sautéñas patties, sauté the chopped onion, minced meat with knife and small cubeted potato in frying pan with fat ointment. Emulsify with butter and season. Moisturize with a little broth (required amount) and reserve in a covered refrigerator. Pass to a bowl and mix with chopped green onion and chopped hard-boiled egg.For the dough, on countertop make a crown with flour and in the center add the fat ointment, salt and a little water. Knead well and stand stuffy. Stretch and cut discs of 11 cm in diameter. For the assembly, take a pie disk and fill. Fry in well hot oil. Source/Image:  Argentinian Chefs
