Fried rosquitas, a pampean delight

Whoever visits La Pampa can not fail to try the fried rosquitas. Ideal for a round of mattes in the family. Let's write down the recipe!

 Crispy on the outside and tender inside,  the rosquitas pampeanas are a classic among the inhabitants of the province. With few ingredients and easy to elaborate, this recipe was born some years ago from a  grandmother's notebook. Even without knowing how, it became a popular product in the gastronomy of  La Pampa. 

It is common to find them in any bakery in the region and ranks number one in sales in this area. They are  the snack chosen among the villagers at the time of the  mate  or afternoon snack . We share this recipe very easy to prepare so you can do it as a family.

 ingredients 

  • 500 grams leavening flour
  • 300 grams of sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 25 cc alcohol
  • 40 cc milk
  • c/n lemon zest
  • Vanilla essence
  • c/n impalpable sugar

 Get to work! (preparation) 

  • Place the leavening flour in a bowl, making a hole in the center. Then add sugar and vanilla essence.
  • Then add the lemon zest, milk and 25 cc of alcohol, which gives you that  crispy  touch instantly frying them.
  • Add the 4 eggs to it. Make enveloping movements with a spatula or with your hand to achieve the union of all ingredients.
  • Once the dough texture is achieved, cut it into short and thin strips to shape the rosquitas by joining their ends. Simultaneously, heat the oil in a frying pan to a temperature of 160 °C.
  • Place the rosquitas in the pan so that they are fried. Once golden brown, remove them and place them in a fountain.
  • As a final touch and personal taste, they can be sprinkled with impalpable sugar or cinnamon.
