Gassosacafe or Calabres iced coffee: an exquisite and easy to make infusion.
Have you ever thought about drinking the cold coffee? It wouldn't have happened to me until I tried “questa bibita espetaccolare” in Italy (I tell you in Italian and everything!). In the southern part of Italy, specifically in Calabria, there is a carbonated drink, flavored with coffee. It is extremely popular: in the summer months it is not missing in any house. Since we are not in Calabria, I teach you how to prepare it as approximate as possible. It's so easy that you're going to be surprised. Prepare filter coffee, well concentrated. In a glass of long drink put a measure (50ml is fine), sweeten a lot with a tablespoon of sugar, several ice cubes and fill the glass until complete with soda! Stir and serve immediately, before the foam disappears. When you do, you'll understand why I suggested the long drink glass (add foam as if it were fernet hahaha!) At home we always make extra coffee and store it in the refrigerator to make the “gassosacafe”. It is ideal for those embarrassing days when you do not know how to cut thirst.
