Go to sectionSanta Fe had, until two decades ago, the unalterable habit of gathering its people in the main artery, the Pedestrian San Martín , all the sÁ on days in the morning. When they imposed the opening of discos on Fridays, until early Saturday morning, the young people changed their morning walk for restful sleep.
In this way, what was indispensable for the meeting between friends, or simply the free possibility of seeing who they were interested, moved to Friday afternoon. Otherwise, tradition would have been lost!
Walking the pedestrian on the chosen day is, for those who go shopping, face a dense tide of young people, teenagers above all, who moves, in some cases with no fixed destination and, in others, to reach the steps of the Municipal Theatre Primero de Mayo. Of course, these crowds move in groups, formed by preferences, in terms of fashions or ways of communicating. Thus, you can see boys with their heads halfway, or wearing hairs of various colors, dressed in black and exhibiting two tattoos, all grouped on the steps mentioned. The youngest, showing the “people passing by here as they can” gathered in front of the local fast food and moving to one side and the other, to the rhythm of laughter and strident cracks. Then there are the “chetos” that do “la coutada” in a trendy bar, where prices are not an obstacle to consumption .
Thus, we reach the blunt conclusion that Fridays are not the best day for adults to shop and intend to walk, chatting, without hurry...
When the sun sets, young people move to someone's house, where they do “the previa”, before going to the bowling.
