Magdalena prison inmates manufactured toys for children in that locality

The initiative is part of a solidarity programme.

Solidarity fingerprint

Prisoners of Magdalena's Criminal Unit 35 manufactured 120 educational sets to be donated to the Child Development Unit (UDI) and Kindergartens in that town of Buenos Aires. Thus, sources from the Buenos Aires Penitentiary Service (SPB) reported.

As part of the program “Solidarity from the Heart of the Prison” the prisoners of the Magdalena prison provided the labor in carpentry and painting. They made the different versions of engravings with geometric figures, numbers, and elements of different sizes and colors.

The SPB reported that toys intended for children between the ages of 2 and 7 came to representatives of the commune and local UDI authorities.

The program is an initiative of the Buenos Aires government for inmates to carry out solidarity work aimed at different sectors of the community.
