The world has to continue singing, in spite of everything, and always bring good news to all the circumstances of life... In Cordoba we do it.
The Collective Artistic Follow Singing is the main protagonist of this initiative that encourages everyone to continue singing. It is a group of older adults who come together to connect with each other and with the world, through music. But during the quarantine, the encounters became impossible. The choir of this Artistic Collective is directed by Alejandra Seimandi, who organizes together with them different activities and interventions.
With a state of emergency, fear becomes general. However, this group of men and women singers appeases all evil. With their voices, they help us imagine new worlds and new possibilities of going through adversity. On this occasion, the idea started a bit for the fun of virtual union. Another bit because of the need to raise awareness and challenge people to stay at home . So it was that all the participants that make up the Artistic Collective Continue Singing continued to sing. They continued to share their voices and their joys. With a single weapon of defense against the virus that lurks us: music. Different voices, instruments and faces are presented in the v finalidea.
This initiative also works as a hopeful message. We can also continue to connect virtually. We can also sing from our homes. The networks that are assembled in times of quar entenaare invisible, but they exist and feel.
Dr. Carlos Presman was in charge of introducing this potpourri made by Follow Singing. “We exercise the collective freedom to care for ourselves by staying at home. A freedom that allows us, among all, to have a special dedication to older adults who turn out to be the most vulnerable group in this pandemic by coronavirus. ” With these words the audiovisual production of the collective is inaugurated. These elderly people, mostly from Cordoba , joined the proposal with dedication and enthusiasm. From this collective freedom, a beautiful gesture is born that deserves to be remembered and disseminated .
In Córdoba, we take care of each other to be able to keep singing.
