 Ramon Antonio Castillo 

He was born in Ancasti,  Catamarca , on November 20, 1873. He died in  Buenos Aires on October 12, 1944.

Married to Maria Delia Luzuriaga.

President of the Argentine Nation (assumes after the death of  Roberto M. Ortíz ).

Mandate: 27 June 1942 to 4 June 1943 (overthrow).

  • Reaffirmation of Argentine neutrality in World War II.
  • Declaration of the  Government House  as a National Historical Monument.
  • Creation of the National Merchant Fleet.
  • Revocation of the concession of the Puerto de  Rosario .
  • Nationalization of the Primitive Gas Company and inauguration of the gas pipeline between  La Plata  and  Buenos Aires .
  • Creation of the Astrophysics Station of the Observatory of  Córdoba .
  • Intervention of the Province of  Tucumán .Dissolution of the Deliberative Council of the City of Buenos Aires, in response to allegations of corruption in it.
