Married to Susana Rodríguez Viana.

President of the Argentine Nation.

Vice President: JOSE FIGUEROA ALCORTA

Mandate: 12 October 1904 to 12 March 1906 (died).

 GOVERNMENT WORK: 
  • Repeal of the Electoral Law of 1901, eliminating the uninominal system.
  • Regulation of the exercise of the liberal professions.
  • Enactment of the Sunday Rest Act.
  • Nationalization of the  University of La Plata .
  • Increased trade with  Europe .
  • “ Láinez Law” on the creation of elementary schools in the provinces.
  • Extension of the railway network.

  • Interior: Rafael Castillo.
  • HR and Worship: Amancio Alcorta. Carlos Rodriguez Larreta.
  • War: Enrique Godoy.Marina: Juan A. Martin.Treasury: José A. Terry.
