President of the Argentine Nation (assumes after the resignation of  Miguel Juárez Celman )

Mandate: October 6, 1890 to October 12, 1892.

  • Foundation of the Argentine Bank of the Nation.
  • Creation of the Conversion Fund.
  • Organization of the Justice of Peace in the Capital.
  • Creation of the first School of Commerce in Buenos Aires.
  • Preparation of a new civic register, renewable every two years and the opening of the electoral roll to allow the registration of citizens.
  • Enactment of the law creating the  University of La Plata .
  • Amendment of the Electoral Law to elect the Deliberative Council of the Capital.
  • Interior: Julio Argentino Roca. Jose Vicente Zapata.
  • HR and Worship: Eduardo Costa. Stanislaus Severo Zeballos.
  • War and Navy: Nicolás Levalle.
  • Farm: Vicente Fidel Lopez. Emilio Hansen.
  • Justice and Public Instruction: José María Gutiérrez. Juan Carballido. Juan Balestra.
